Morro Bay Beach Clean Up

We started early with a quick surf session at the rock in Morro Bay. Waves were small, but glassy and fun - a fairly typical summer morning surf in the fog.

After trading a few waves, we got to work filling empty barley bags with whatever trash we could find. Sadly, we ended up with more trash than we anticipated. Happily, this is less trash that will have to sit on our beaches and end up in our oceans. We had lots of families show up through the morning fog to help. It was a huge success communicating to our youth about the importance of keeping our coastal environments clean.
